The upside of pregnancy

Reasons to be happy during your pregnancy would often include:

  • A glowing complexion accompanied with faster growth of hair and nails. This is especially true for the second trimester.
  • Some women get naturally more inclined to shift to healthier food options during the first trimester instead of junk food and an overdose of caffeine. So you do not really have to leave your bad habits – it’s likely they will leave you!
  • You and your hubby are keeping a secret from the world during the first trimester and that can be very exciting for some. Imagining how different people would react to the news is fun as well. (more…)

Am I pregnant?

A majority of the women do not think that they are pregnant until they miss a period. There are a few early symptoms of pregnancy though that can indicate if you are pregnant:-

  • Morning Sickness and Nausea
  • Tiredness at any time of the day. A feeling of exhaustion could set in while you are at work, even after a full night of sleep
  • Swollen feet

The First Visit to the Gynaecologist

I believe most of us are extremely paranoid and anxious on our fist visit to the doctor. We wonder about all the possible good or bad news that may be awaiting us. My friend remembers having a fight with her husband on her way to see the gynaecologist. One always feels for the men in such cases. And a few moments after the fight, she was sitting with her gynaecologist who was looking at the couple that just walked in through her rectangular glasses. She was every bit the professor at a well-known medical college that she expected her to be – spectacles with a chain hanging by, a thin frame, and skepticism written all over her face. (more…)
