Reading Aloud is good for your baby!

Research has shown that moms-to-be who read aloud to their unborn child, during and after the sixth month of pregnancy, are more likely to have intelligent children and build a stronger bond with the baby, as compared to those who do not. The learning function of the brain begins in the sixth month, which means that the baby is able to retain things from hereon. One can argue over the retention part but the key is that the baby is getting familiar with your voice. An important finding is that it is the feelings generated by the particular piece of literature that you are reading, which will have an impact on the personality of the baby. (more…)
